These last few days I’ve had lingering feelings of depression and boredom. From the mountains of the Vietnamese highlands, I’ve hit long, hard and hot days of the Cambodian planes. Staying in cheap tourist hotels and eating bad food. This is far from the adventure I left for. I struggle most in these moments when I can disassociate from the miles to come. When my mind jumps around restlessly. When I can escape my mind thinks back to camping in the valleys of central Turkey, looking at the minarets of the mosques bellow like match sticks in the scale of the valley, the quality of the Himalayan light and air, and my dreams for South America, Australia and home.
