Ben Around the World Diary – Day 57 – 23th November 2018

  • ODO: 6624km
  • Location: Bootstart Co-living Space, Goa, India
  • Weather: 24-35 Light clouds breaking by 10am

Boostart in Mandrem is a huge four story building with rows of dorms and private rooms linking from between the white walls and walkways. On a mid level terrace there’s a small pool and working your way to the roof you find the work space. What a view.

As I’ve settled in I’ve found a routine. The space is a little in land from the sea. It takes 10 minutes on my bike to Mandrem beach where I run and swim each morning. I’ve never done yoga myself but many others work their way towards me in warrior poses as I sit drying in the sand.

I love having access to the beach and the quiet stillness of the beach in the mornings. The WiFi is a little lacking though. And the inability to use a washing machine or proper kitchen limit it’s usefulness for a longer stay. After a couple of weeks I’d rather cook for myself. Also the main thing with any space is the community. When I arrived the place was empty. Let’s see how things change in the run-up to Christmas.
