Today I crossed the border into Cambodia from Vietnam. There are several over land crossing points along the border including a couple up in the central highlands I cycled past a few days back. Thanks to a quirk of the Cambodian e-visa system I could leave Cambodia through any of those but only enter at Bevat. The entry was swift if for some dubious characters trying to get money out of me. On the Cambodian side of the border the dusty highway lead out a stream of plush yet falling down casino buildings. It seems a feature of this part of Asia.
Tomorrow I’ll reach the capital, Phnom Penh, to stock up on supplies to reach Bangkok next week.
