In October 2023 I spent a week cycling out into the Hajar Mountains in Oman. A trip I had been dreaming about since I cycled around the world. During that trip, Oman was inaccessible with Saudi Arabia not offering tourist visas at the time.
The journey was incredibly challenging, and not in the way you might expect. As well as scorching desert heat the mountains offered up dramatic storms that stretch me and my bike to the limit.
